Linoleic Acid is an essential omega-6 fatty acid naturally found in our skin and vital for maintaining a healthy barrier. It helps build ceramides—the lipids that keep skin sealed, hydrated, and resilient—while its lightweight structure makes it fast-absorbing and non-greasy. Interestingly, skin that’s prone to clogged pores often has lower levels of linoleic acid, which can make oils thicker and more pore-blocking. Replenishing it helps keep things balanced and clear. It’s also one of the few fatty acids shown to help fade UV-induced pigmentation by supporting natural skin turnover.
